The city paris is counted in one of the most beautiful citis in the world. It has always attracted the tourists and visiters. There are many beautiful things to see in the paris. Main attractions of the city are museums and monuments. Large number of tourists visit the city and this motivates the government of the city to create new museums and monuments. Number of museums, theaters, monuments are there in the city which are unique in itself. The Eiffel tower is one of the most famous monument of the world, And more than 6 millions visiters visit the tower per year and around 8 million visters visited it since it is constucted.
Museums in Paris:
One of the most famous museums of the city is Louvre. It is an art museums and one of the largest and oldest museums in the world. This musemum is mostly liked by the visiter approximately 8 million visiters vist the museum and it is the one of the most visited art museum of the world. You will find many works of art, like the statue of Mona Lisa (La Joconde) and the Venus de Milo.
The Galerie nationale du Jeu de Paume is another art museum of the city and is situated in the north-west corner of the Tuileries Gardens in Paris. The building of the museum was constructed in year 1861.
The Musée de Cluny is a museum in Paris. The Musée de Cluny includes a number of important medieval artifacts, in particular its tapestry collection that includes the textile art.
The Musée Jacquemart-André is a museum that is privately owned located at 158 Boulevard Haussmann in Paris. The museum was build from personal home of Édouard André and Nélie Jacquemart. It displays all the art that is collected by them during their life time.
This museum named Marmottan-Monet is located at 2, rue Louis Boilly in the XVIe arrondissement of Paris. In his museum you will find a collection of a hundred Impressionist works by Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot, Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. You will find the many beautiful paintings there. Collection includes water-lily paintings in a purpose built circular gallery.
The Musée du Montparnasse is a museum located at 21 Avenue du Maine in the Montparnasse Quarter of Paris. The museum ingurated in May 28, 1998. The museum was founded by Roger Pic and Jean-Marie Drot.
Monuments in Paris:
The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel was constructed between 1806 and 1808 by Napoleon. And it is richly decorated in rose marble on the columns and the front paneling.
The Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile, is the world's largest triumphal arch. The monument is surmounted by the hill of Chaillot at the center of a star-shaped configuration of 12 radiating avenues.
The Eiffel Tower, is the anoher one of the most famous monuments of the paris made of the help of iron, was erected for the Paris Exposition of 1889. The Prince of Wales ingurated the tower. It is constructed by the French structural engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, who was assisted by the engineers Maurice Koechlin and Emile Nouguier, and architect Stephen Sauvestre.
